Bio-Identical Hormones/Men and Women

Are you fatigued, having more pain, having less sexual enjoyment, or more agitated? Hormones may be the problem.

Low or out of balance hormones should be treated with bio-identical hormones, which are hormones identical to those naturally produced by the body. This treatment is available for both men and women. Most commonly matched are estrogen of 3 types, progesterone, DHEA, and testosterone. Using individually planned and compounded hormone supplementation, we can affect pain treatment, boost immune function, and affect other body systems.

Prolotherapy/Ultrasound Guidance

Ultrasound-guided prolotherapy is an innovative form of regenerative medicine that is used to treat acute and chronic injuries. Administered by injections, this is commonly used for shoulder and knee injuries of the tissue such as muscle tears. Commonly used to treat ailments such as arthritis of the knees, torn ligaments like rotator cuffs, bursitis and spinal pain. This treatment allows your body to heal itself. This area of alternative medicine uses sterile solutions that increase collagen production to re-create the body’s own healing process.

Ultrasound can be used in prolotherapy, PRP, and stem cell therapy.

Neural Therapy

Neural therapy is a form of alternative medicine used to treat chronic pain and illness using a series of subcutaneous injections to stimulate healing of the sympathetic nervous system that can hold chronic injuries for lengths of time. With the use of a local anesthetic, this gentle technique treats these disturbances to allow the body to function normally with the patient's sympathetic nervous system. A wide range of conditions can be treated with this technique.

CranioSacral Manipulation

Relieve pain and tension with the techniques used in craniosacral manipulation. Using a gentle touch that manipulates the joints in the skull to harmonize with the natural rhythm of the central nervous system. This is a non-invasive method of healing. Our osteopathic physician will note selected points on the body and craniosacral system to remove restrictions and improve the function of the central nervous system.
K-Laser Therapy

K-Laser Therapy

Damaged tissue can be targeted with specific wavelengths of light from a high-powered, class IIII laser, known as a k-laser. This pain-free, non-surgical treatment helps to manage pain and accelerate tissue regeneration. Laser energy increases circulation and draws oxygen, water, and nutrients to the affected area. Get relief from chronic inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and muscle spasms. This technique works well for open wounds, spider bites, sprains, and diabetic neuropathy.

Thyroid Management

Your thyroid is a vital gland that plays a major function in regulating many body functions by releasing a steady number of hormones into the bloodstream. Working closely with you, Dr. Alt will prescribe a treatment for you that will help normalize thyroid hormone production. There is a condition called sub-clinical hypothyroidism that many physicians miss. Hashimoto's disease will lead eventually to hypothyroidism. You need an experienced physician.

Suboxone Therapy

Put a stop to narcotic dependence with Suboxone® therapy. Containing ingredients such as buprenorphine and naloxone, this treatment reduces a person’s urges by blocking opiate receptors and reversing the effects of the opioids. Together, these medications work to prevent withdrawal symptoms. Overcome your addiction with the help of a physician; you don’t have to endure this alone. Seeking professional help will ensure the process is done correctly. Dr. Alt is a suboxone certified provider.

Dr. Alt uses narcotic certified counselors. All Suboxone® treatments as well as other care are private pay and we do not accept insurance.
